AFA Drops Boycott

The American Family Association (AFA) is ending its boycott of McDonald's.

Mississippi-based AFA called for the boycott in May after the fast food giant joined the National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce. McDonald's has notified the pro-homosexual organization that McDonald's vice president Richard Ellis resigned from the board of directors of NGLCC and his seat on the board will not be replaced.

In a press release on Thursday morning, AFA reports that in an email from McDonald's to its franchise owners the company stated its policy is "to not be involved in political and social issues."

Randy Sharp is director of special projects with AFA. He says McDonald's has pledged to remain neutral in the culture war surrounding homosexual marriage. "

The franchise owners understood very early that this was an issue that McDonald's did not need to be involved in from a corporate level, and [that] they needed to stick with serving good food products in a convenient way, at a good price."

McDonald's officials also said the company has no plans to renew its membership in the NGLCC when it expires in December.

Others can learn

AFA president Tim Wildmon says it's encouraging that the world's largest global foodservice retailer has pledged to remain neutral in the culture war. He says other corporations can learn from McDonald's decision to not be involved in political or social issues.

"That's been our appeal to these corporations," he explains. "...[J]ust stay neutral [and] don't give money to organizations that are going to fight against traditional values. And we try to tell folks [that] many of [their] customers are traditional values folks, and don't offend them by supporting gay and lesbian activist groups."

AFA founder and chairman Donald E. Wildmon states that his pro-family organization "appreciate[s] the decision by McDonald's to no longer support political activity by homosexual activist organizations."

Breaking Laws

NBC allows s-word on live TV - no bleeps, no apologies, no nothin'

On Thursday, September 11th, at approximately 7:37 a.m. Eastern time, Today show guest Hans Lange emphatically said "Holy S--t" in an interview with host Matt Lauer. Instead of apologizing to the audience, Lauer and his crew broke out in extended laughter after Lange said the phrase. View the scene here (at the 3:50 mark in the video).

NBC uses a five-second delay in many live broadcasts, but chose not to use it here. As a result, NBC purposely allowed profane language to be used in violation of broadcast decency laws!Keep in mind that NBC thinks it owns the public airwaves and doesn't have a responsibility to control profanity on live broadcasts. Having sued the FCC in order to continue their filthy ways is just one more indication that they have no respect for children and families. If you are fed up the networks' arrogance in defiantly spewing profanity on live TV, take action! If you live in the Eastern Time zone, file a complaint with the FCC now! (The network did bleep tape delayed airings of the interview.)

Let's Pray For Ray Boltz

Boltz shocks Christian community with homosexuality admission

There is shock and sadness in the Christian community over word that famed Christian music singer Ray Boltz has publicly announced he’s living a homosexual lifestyle.

"If this is the way God made me, then this is the way I’m going to live...I really feel closer to God because I no longer hate myself." Those were the words of Ray Boltz in an interview with the Washington Blade about his decision to engage in homosexuality. Boltz, a father of four who was married for 33 years before officially divorcing his wife this year, is well-known for his widely acclaimed songs "Thank You" and "I Pledge Allegiance to the Lamb."

The disclosure by Boltz was stunning news to former homosexual Greg Quinlan who is now with the New Jersey Family Policy Council.

"I’m absolutely shocked. I've got some of his CDs and cassette tapes –- tells you how long it's been around. When he says he's born that way, we know now for a fact that that's false. In fact, just last year in March, the director of the Human Genome Project, Dr. Francis Collins, said this: homosexuality is not hardwired. There is no gay gene. We mapped the human genome. We now know there is no genetic cause for homosexuality."

When asked about Boltz's homosexuality, The Gospel Music Association -- the group which gives out the Dove Awards -- told the Blade, "We do not comment on the lifestyle choices of people in our community."

According to Quinlan, by making such a statement the GMA seems to be "enabling a behavior that is totally inconsistent, incongruent with the message of the gospel."

Urgent Message from Lou Engle and Matt Lockett

Dear Bound4LIFE Family,
Four years ago Lou Engle and a small company of young people gathered for 50 days of round-the-clock prayer for the ’04 elections. That company was then divinely launched to Washington, DC for daily focused intercession in front of the Supreme Court. A cry for justice took shape through a curious piece of RED TAPE over their mouths as they silently “lobbied” Heaven for a pro-life President, righteous Judges and the overturning of Roe v. Wade. That faithful stand became what you now know as the Bound4LIFE Movement. At this four-year anniversary I want to thank you for however you’ve helped to see this vision spread like wildfire throughout the nation.

Once again we find ourselves at a pivotal moment in our history with the elections looming large on the horizon.

Prayer mobilization is exploding throughout the body of Christ as we are about to enter into an intense period of time before these Elections. I can’t help but wonder how high the stakes are when God is beckoning so many into the place of prayer and fasting right now. For 40 days there will be two strategic prayer strikes coordinated on both coasts. Lou Engle will be leading 40 days in San Diego with a strong focus on the marriage amendment facing California voters on November 4th. At the same time I will be leading 40 days in Washington, DC with an intensified focus on the Presidential Election and righteous Judges on the Supreme Court. I believe the fate of the nation hangs in the balance between these two seats of power and influence. Will the advance of the culture of death and false ideologies be thrown back or will the nation be swept away in a deluge of chaos and immorality?

Facedown40- Sept 24-Nov 2

I will be leading this initiative in DC with a core team of young volunteers from around the country.

I will be leading this initiative in DC with a core team of young volunteers from around the country. Bound4LIFE Chapter Leaders will also join throughout the 40 days as schedules allow. A generation is being trained and equipped to fight the battles of the Lord. LIVE VIDEO and WRITTEN UPDATES will keep you connected and informed of the teams insights and direction. Go to http://www.bound4life.com/ to follow throughout the 40 days.
I invite you to listen to an IMPORTANT CONFERENENCE CALL with LOU ENGLE and MATT LOCKETT describing the 40-day initiative and the urgency of this hour. Simply go to http://bound4life.com/conferencecall to listen to the recorded message at your own convenience.

Would you please consider sowing financially into this vital prayer initiative RIGHT NOW? Your contribution will go directly toward making this 40 Day Prayer Strike have maximum impact.

Pressing on in faith, hope and love.

Take Action: McDonald's; Results from CBS

Verse of the day:

“Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus. That good thing which was committed unto thee keep by the Holy Ghost which dwelleth in us.”- 2 Timothy 1:13-14

CBS takes financial hit before dropping ‘Swingtown’

The CBS network finally heard you loud and clear after losing millions of dollars in the Swingtown money pit.

As a result of your dedicated efforts in convincing every major advertiser to pull their commercial ads from Swingtown, CBS has decided to pull the plug and give up.

Swingtown was another brash attempt by CBS to push the envelope on network television. The weekly dose of group se*, casual drug use and teacher-student intimate relationships took its toll as ratings plummeted and advertisers put it on their “do not buy” list.

I firmly believe had you not taken time to get involved, this program would continue to air. Thanks to you, CBS has lost this fight and is giving up. The final episode will air this Friday night.

Thank you for your continued support. We are seeing great results!
Sincerely,
Donald E. Wildmon, Chairman

McDonald's pays 56 employees to attend meeting promoting the gay agenda

Sign the online Boycott McDonald’s petition.• Forward this to family and friends and ask them to sign the petition.• Print and distribute the Boycott McDonald’s petition.• VERY IMPORTANT! Call your local McDonald’s. Speak with the manager. Tell him or her (in a polite manner) that you will be boycotting McDonald’s until they stop promoting the homosexual agenda, including homosexual marriage. To find the phone number of your nearest McDonald’s, click here. • For more information on the McDonald's boycott, click here.

In January, McDonald’s paid for travel and accommodations for 56 employees to attend the “Pioneer Summit” in San Diego. The purpose of the meeting was to develop a plan to promote the gay agenda within the company. Those attending were thrilled that McDonald’s showed such support for their agenda.

“It was truly inspiring to see McDonald’s Lesbian, Gay, Bi-Sexual and Transgender members come together to share heartfelt, personal stories about their journeys, challenges and personal reflections. Better understanding these journeys … will help us better grow our people in the restaurants and across the company,” said Brian Unger, senior vice president.

AFA has asked McDonald’s to remain neutral in the culture battle – to neither oppose nor support the gay agenda. McDonald’s has refused, choosing to support those groups and individuals promoting the gay agenda — including homosexual marriage. A McDonald’s official (Bill Whitman) went so far as to say that those who oppose the gay agenda are motivated by hate.

Thank you for caring enough to get involved. If you feel our efforts are worthy of support, would you consider making a small tax-deductible contribution to help us continue?

Taking Action: Swingtown,Hallmark,Honda, & U.S. Senate

Contact Burlington Coat Factory

CBS' Swingtown continues to trash the public airwaves with moral sewage. Last Friday night's episode (August 15) included:

-A teacher/student bedroom scene
-A man snorting cocain off a woman's stomach
-Qualudes being passed around like candyYoung teens playing strip poker
-4-way s** scene

Sadly, Burlington has a long reputation of being a "distressed merchandise" advertiser, meaning they buy ads for pennies on the dollar with shows that can't get reputable advertisers.

TAKE ACTION:Contact Burlington Coat Factory today! They were recently bought by Bain Capital. Hopefully, the new owners will have conscience and withdraw their ad support from CBS' Swingtown.

Note: Don't delete this email! It is possible that Burlington will reject your letter. If so, you may wish to call them directly. Their corporate number is 888-223-2628.

Hallmark pushes same-sex marriage

Hallmark Greeting Cards has announced it will begin selling same-sex wedding cards, even though same-sex marriage is legal in only two states. The purpose, they say, is to satisfy consumer demand. It appears that their purpose is also to push same-sex marriage. Last year Hallmark began offering "coming out" cards - as in "coming out of the closet" -- a euphemism for announcing homosexuality.

We've all given or received Hallmark Cards – remember their slogan – "when you care enough to send the very best." But promoting same-sex marriage for profit is not the very best for families or our nation. Hallmark is a private company obviously driven by greed. Let them know you do not appreciate Hallmark promoting a lifestyle which is illegal in 48 states. American Greeting Cards, Hallmark's competitor, does not offer same-sex marriage cards.

After sending your email, call Hallmark's corporate office. Their number is 816-274-5111.

Thank you for caring enough to get involved. If you feel our efforts are worthy of support, would you consider making a small tax-deductible contribution to help us continue?

Gay rights trump religious freedom
Honda of Alabama takes logical and reasonable position.

The California Supreme Court, which recently legalized same-sex marriage, has ruled by a 7-0 vote that homosexual rights trump religious freedom. The ruling barred doctors, because of their Christian beliefs, from withholding unnecessary medical care to gays and lesbians. The ruling says that under state law sexual orientation rights trump religious freedom.

Justice Joyce Kennard wrote in the ruling that two Christian fertility doctors who refused to artificially inseminate a lesbian have neither a free speech right nor a religious exemption from the state's law, which "imposes on business establishments certain antidiscrimination obligations."

Doctors at the Christian clinic referred the lesbian to another clinic, but the lesbian refused their referral - demanding that the Christian clinic perform the procedure. When the Christian doctors refused to violate their religious convictions, the lesbian sued and the Supreme Court gave her the victory.

This ruling will affect every business in California. If a similar victory in a federal court is won, every business in America will be affected.

For example: Alabama Fertility Specialists (AFS) has begun a campaign to bring Honda of Alabama to its knees because Honda will not cover artificial insemination for a lesbian in it’s insurance.

Honda advised their insurance carrier to "exclude domestic partners (same-sex partners) from ART (Assisted Reproductive Technology) benefits including diagnostic services related to fertility/infertility..." If this doesn't work, then count on AFS to sue.

Alabama Fertility Specialists alerted the media, their supporters and gay groups about Honda’s actions and called on supporters and gays to bombard Honda with phone calls and letters.

Make a phone call thanking Honda. The number is 205-355-8000 .

Indecency legislation stalled in U.S. SenateUrgent: call your senators to urge Sen. Reid to schedule a vote for S. 1780

Did you know that the four major television networks have declared war on decency by suing the FCC for the right to air profanity and nudity at any time of day? We do have a counter attack but the Protecting Children from Indecent Programming Act (S. 1780) is currently stalled in the U.S. Senate. The Act (S. 1780) would reaffirm Congress' support for vigorous enforcement of the existing broadcast decency laws and the importance of protecting the public airwaves from indecent content.

In order to ensure the Federal Communications Commission's (FCC) ability to fine broadcasters over "fleeting" instances of profanity or nudity, S. 1780 needs to be voted on by the full Senate. If S. 1780 does not pass, the Broadcast Decency Enforcement Act passed two years ago will be rendered essentially meaningless.

Recently, the 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Philadelphia threw out a $550,000 indecency fine levied against CBS for the infamous 2004 Super Bowl "wardrobe malfunction." CBS also allowed profanity during Big Brother 10, which airs during prime time.

We are in a pivotal time regarding the ownership of America's broadcast airwaves. The law says these airwaves belong to the American people, but the networks are trying to take them over and turn them into a toxic sewer. Now is the time to fight back!

Thank you for caring enough to get involved. If you feel our efforts are worthy of support, would you consider making a small tax-deductible contribution to help us continue?

Sincerely,
Donald E. Wildmon,
